Kind Words reads from the LinkedIn account already open in this browser. If you are signed out, press Sign in to LinkedIn and log in the way you always do, on the tab that opens. That tab closes once you are in, and Kind Words starts reading.
Which browsers work?
Chrome on a desktop computer, version 127 or newer.
What does Kind Words do on my LinkedIn?
Kind Words looks only at the recommendations on your profile. The panel also shows your picture, so you can see who is signed in. Kind Words never posts, messages or connects with anyone. The extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.
Where do I paste the code?
Into the HTML or code block your site builder offers. WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow and Framer each have one. The recommendations pick up the font and text color your site already uses.
My site says the code is too long.
Photos make the code longer. Webflow takes up to 50,000 characters in one block. Squarespace takes about 300,000. Turn Photos off in the builder, or download the file and hand it to whoever builds your site.
Can I add new recommendations later?
Open Kind Words and press Start over, then Get my recommendations. Paste the new code over the old.
Which languages work?
Recommendations come through in the language they were written in, including right to left languages like Arabic and Hebrew. The extension itself is in English. Kind Words reads most reliably when your LinkedIn is set to English too.
How do I remove Kind Words?
- Right-click the Kind Words icon in your toolbar.
- Choose Remove from Chrome, then confirm.
Removing Kind Words also deletes your recommendations and builder settings from Chrome.
